In Kebbi State, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), collapsed and passed away at the Dakin Gari Orientation Camp.
It was reported that the NYSC member suddenly slumped and was immediately rushed to the camp clinic for medical attention.
She was later taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin-Kebbi, for advanced medical attention.
However, despite efforts by doctors to resuscitate her, the NYSC member gave up the ghost.
The state commissioner for youth and sports, Alhaji Muhammad Fingila, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi. He added that her remains had been sent to her home state, Adamawa.
Mister Fingila, who described the incident as unfortunate, sent a condolence message to the grieving family on behalf of the Kebbi government.
Meanwhile, efforts to get the reaction of officials of NYSC, Kebbi State Office, were unsuccessful.
Their spokesman, Mrs. Hadiza, neither answered calls nor replied to a text message sent to her for their reaction on the matter.
