Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa on Wednesday charged the 184 newly elected ward chairmen of the party in the state to at all times uphold quality leadership and ensure inclusiveness.
He also urged them to make sure there is unity in the party to enable them to take over Government House, Umuahia from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.

Performing the inauguration, Nwankpa who was represented by his deputy, Chief Adiele Ogunka said the inauguration of the ward chairmen is in obedience to the directive of national leadership of the party, Abia State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as well as a court order by Justice C. H. Ahuchaogu of Ukwa High Court Division.
While urging them to work as a team, Nwankpa further appealed to the new ward chairmen to “be magnanimous in victory”, adding “have respect to them that deserve it, implement our brain in words and action, begin to bring all together and reach out to the aggrieved. You were not sworn in to go and fight, cause trouble or humiliate others,” Hon. Nwankpa advised them.
