NSIB DG, Oyo Partner To Enhance Transport Safety

Captain Alex Badeh and his team visited Gov. Seyi Makinde in order to improve the state’s transportation safety and accident prevention.

In a statement signed on Sunday by the Director, Public Affairs and Family Assistance, NSIB, Bimbo Oladeji, Badeh praised Governor Makinde’s leadership and commitment to infrastructural development, emphasising the vital role of safety in transportation and other sectors.

He highlighted NSIB’s mission to improve safety through thorough incident investigations.

We are here today to express our admiration for your visionary leadership and to explore how we can work together to promote a culture of transport safety in Oyo State,” said Badeh.

“NSIB is committed to ensuring that safety remains at the forefront of every development initiative, and we believe that by working with state governments, we can create safer environments across Nigeria.

In response, Makinde welcomed the delegation and commended NSIB’s efforts in enhancing transport safety nationwide. He expressed his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the bureau, particularly in improving safety protocols within Oyo State.

The discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including training on safety protocols and strategies for improving public safety.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthen collaboration and implement programmes that would benefit Oyo state and other regions in Nigeria.
