The Osun State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Emmanuel Ocheja, has urged the newly recruited personnel to be up to the task and discharge their duties efficiently as given to them during the orientation training.
Ocheja gave the task while addressing the newly recruited personnel who commenced their training Monday, April 4, 2022, saying this would help them to be highly skilled in the service to their fatherland.
In a statement issued and e-signed by the Command’s Public Relations, Atanda Olabisi, Ocheja commended the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi for the timely recruitment of fresh hands into the system to defend their fatherland.
He said,” the recruitment and the training being imparted here would help curb incessant criminal activities in the country, as our dear nation is facing security challenges occasioned by the activities of Boko Haram terrorists, armed bandits, kidnappers, vandals, and other criminal activities”.
He, therefore, informed the fresh personnel that their mental, physical and moral alertness is highly needed as the prevailing insecurity can be surmounted by the collective resolve and efforts of everyone.
He also advised: “during this training, put your certificates aside, obey all legitimate orders issued by your instructors, this is a regimented environment, it is a place different from where you are coming from. You are expected to be highly disciplined and obedient”.
Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja prayed and wished the new corps a fruitful training session.
