The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested an individual for engaging in unlawful oil bunkering.
His arrest came after a big boat filled with stolen crude oil was intercepted.
The Corps disclosed this in a post on the Corps’ X handle on Wednesday.
NSCDC said its officials seized and destroyed the boat along with a large container that held an unknown amount of stolen crude oil.
The post reads, “Arrest of one suspect, confiscation and destruction of a large boat containing illegally acquired crude oil, and a large pour-put reservoir filled with an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil.”
