Ahead of the November 11 Governorship polls in Imo state, the Senator Representing Okigwe Senatorial Zone and Chairman Senate committee on works, Engr. Ndubueze Patrick Saturday endorsed the Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma.
According to his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, David Nwokorie through a Press Release made available to ABN TV on September 2 2023, the Senator made this known in a keynote address at a Youth summit in Ehime Mbano which was well attended by an elite Coterie of Okigwe’s Major Stakeholders and power brokers. Senator Ndubueze remarked that his emergence would not have been possible but for the notable role played by Sen. Uzodimma.
“I want every youth to give credence to the Governor for every achievement attained in my tenure as a Senator, without the role he played, I would not have emerged, hence whatever I achieve in the next four years should be alluded to Him”. He went on to admonish the youths to understand that money was not to be the major determinant for the polls, but rather competence, credibility and transperancy.
He commended Governor Uzodimma’s outstanding achievements in the past four years. especially his exceptional infrastructural projects in the zone which the Senator said were proof that He was the better choice ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Senator Ndubueze further commented on his achievements since his assumption of office in the last two months. He reminded the participants of His campaign promises some of which included the revamping of Okigwe power sub station, the construction of the Umalumoke-Ikpem road as well as the Ugbuaku, Uboma, Ishiweke roads. he stated that advanced talks had already began on the proposed commencement of these renovations while also adding that with his position as the Chairman Senate Commitee on works, Okigwe should be assured of a raft of many more notable projects.

Chike Olemgbe, The Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief Cosmos Iwu, the Honorable commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Lady Dr. Love Ineh, the Honorable commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Chief Mrs. Ruby Emeile, Sole Administrator of Okigwe Local Government, Hon. Nkechi Mbonu, The Apex leader of Okigwe Zone, Chief Tony Chukwu amongst an array of other political leaders.
