The literary community, students and relevant stakeholders are currently in high spirit as the 2021 rebranded Gombe Day Of Literature Tuesday and Creativity is set to commence on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
The event which is brainchild of HalimaFactor Community Initiative to improve education and the literary sector has now been renamed and rebranded as North East Festival of Culture & Creativity.
The founder, HalimaFactor Community Initiative, Halima Usman in a chat with newsmen of Sunday noted that the desire to rebrand the annual festival is borne out of the need to replicate the success it has in the past eight years achieved in Gombe in other parts of the North East geopolitical.
Expected at the occasion, which is a leading literary festival in North East geopolitical zone are Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, his deputy Manassah Daniel Jatau, HRH Engr. Saleh Mohammad OON, Mai Kaltungo, the Director General of National Orientation Agency, Garba Abari and top management staff of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
Others are, Prof. E. E. Sule of Lapai University, Prof. Asabe Kabir Usman, Dr. Abubakar Othman and children from Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe & Yobe States
The 3-day event which kicks off Tuesday will end on Thursday, November 16, 2021.
With the theme, ‘COVID-19 and Insurgency: Leveraging The Power ICT and Creativity Towards National Integration’, North East Festival of Culture & Creativity will feature lectures, panel discussion, workshop, arts and literary exhibitions, drawing competition, poetry, prose and cultural nights.
Venue is the new multipurpose Hall, Gombe State University while time is 9am to 3pm daily.
