“No More Empty Noise” — Sowore Challenges Soludo, Otti, Abaribe, Obi On Nnamdi Kanu’s Detention

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has called on governors, politicians, and traditional leaders from the South-East to join him in a peaceful march to Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, to demand the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, ABN TV reports.

Sowore made the declaration on his verified social media handles, urging those who profess support for Kanu’s cause to move beyond rhetoric and take decisive action.

In his post, Sowore said he was willing to set aside personal and political differences for a united purpose — ensuring justice and freedom for Kanu.

“I will set aside my differences with some politicians for one cause. I challenge every politician or person of good conscience from the Southeast who says they want @mazinnamdikanu released to stop the rhetoric. Time for action is NOW. Let’s march to Aso Rock Villa,” Sowore wrote.

He further extended the invitation to Southeast governors, senators, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, clergymen, and every Nigerian who believes in justice to join him in the peaceful march.

“Every governor, senator, member of the House, traditional ruler, priest, eze, Igbo person, and every Nigerian who believes in Kanu’s freedom, come out and do more than talk. I will lead this peaceful march to the Aso Rock Villa,” he stated.

The activist also specifically mentioned top Southeast political figures including Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, and Labour Party presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, urging them to demonstrate commitment through action rather than words.

“No more empty noise. Let @CCSoludo, @enyinnayaabaribe, @alexottiofr, @peterobigregory and all others who claim to care step up and join us in person. We go together peacefully, legally, and visibly to demand justice and an end to MNK’s persecution. Chikena! Jisie Ike! #FreeNnamdiKanuNow,” Sowore added.

His call comes amid growing regional and international appeals for Kanu’s release on health and humanitarian grounds.
