‘No Going Back on Biafra Declaration’ Despite Extradition Threats” – Simon Ekpa

Biafra activist, Simon Ekpa has claimed he sacrificed his political career in Finland for Biafra agitation.

Ekpa, known as Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, BRGIE, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday through his official X handle.

According to him, his focus has been on the actualization of Biafra self-rule for the past years.

He stressed there is nothing hallow to him other than the cause of liberating Biafra from alleged marginalization by the Nigerian government.

“I have decided not to take part in the coming election and focus on Biafra Liberation in Finland.

“I have served my people, community, and region since 2012,” he stated.

Recall that Ekpa had announced that on December 2, 2024 Biafra will be declared.

This comes amid his continued criticism of the Nigerian government despite the plan to extradite him.

In July 2021, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested by the Nigerian government and has remained in custody despite calls for his release.
