A former Group Executive Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Chief Okwara Osonwa is dead.
He died at about 2 pm on Thursday.
His first son, Mr. James Osonwa who broke the news to ABN TV expressed sadness over his father’s demise, describing him as a good and kindhearted gentleman.

Osonwa a native of Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia local government area of Abia state has worked in various multinational oil companies including Shell petroleum.
He was also NNPC General Manager in charge of Accounts and later a Group Executive Director in the company till his retirement in 1994.
He was into private practice as an Accountant before his death at 85.
