Hon. Obi Aguocha, member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, has confirmed the relocation of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) to a correctional facility in Sokoto State.

In a statement issued Thursday and made available to ABN TV, Aguocha said the development has been verified and urged supporters to remain calm while the situation continues to unfold.

He emphasized the need for Kanu to be treated with dignity and in accordance with national and international standards for the handling of detainees.

Aguocha also appealed for continued prayers across the South-East and beyond, assuring that efforts toward a lawful and peaceful resolution are ongoing.

The relocation comes amid heightened public interest and growing political discussions surrounding Kanu’s case.
