Nnamdi Kanu Arrives In Court, Reaffirms Faith In Justice Amid Media Displeasure (Video)

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Monday arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja for the continuation of his trial.

Kanu, who has been representing himself in court following the withdrawal of his legal team, was visibly composed as he entered the courtroom. Addressing the media, he affirmed his confidence in divine justice, declaring, “God in Heaven is the God of Justice.”

The IPOB leader, however, frowned at a recent report by a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), which he claimed misrepresented him. While he did not go into detail, Kanu expressed disappointment over what he described as a biased portrayal, insisting that truth and justice would prevail.

Monday’s proceedings follow a series of recent dramatic developments in the trial, including Kanu’s decision to personally take over his legal defense and his continued demand to be transferred from the DSS detention facility to a correctional center.

Kanu has been in custody since June 2021 following his controversial rendition from Kenya and is facing terrorism-related charges brought by the Federal Government.
