The Minister of States for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Ogah has congratulated the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Abia State, Hon. Uko Nkole over his investiture as fellow Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), ABN TV reports.
Speaking at the event in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister noted that the recognition is a manifestation of the lawmaker’s commitment in his professional career.
“The fact that you are getting a fellowship award today shows that you’ve been committed in your profession and I want you to continue in whatever you find yourself in life because that is the best you can do for yourself,” he said.
Ogah while extolling the role of Town Planners in nation-building further charged them to pay the needed attention to the hinterlands and not concentrating on the metropolis alone.
He said the investiture fellowship will give the awardees a sense of recognition for their roles in planning Nigerian towns are cities.
He charged them to reinvigorate the body for effective service delivery for the overall benefit of all Nigerians.
ABN TV reports that prominent sons and daughters of Abia State, including the Senate Minority leader and the Senator representing Abia South District, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe were present at the event.
