Marketers of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol have threatened to shut down operations across all the states of the federation.
In a statement on Tuesday by Mohammed Kuluwu, chairman, the marketers under the aegis of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) also ordered its members to suspend payment of ordering products from source until further notice.
The association says the decision followed, “the critical situation as it affect our sourcing and selling of product at lost and the action of the authority to impose the selling of product at a lost price on our side”.
By this decisions, Nigerians can longer access petrol various filling stations across the country.
Petrol scarcity has hit the country in recent months amidst speculations of removal of subsidy on the petrol.
