Nigeria Optometric Association Honours Dan Okeke On Efforts To Prevent Avoidable Blindness

Members of the Nigeria Optometric Association, NOA have recognized and applauded the effort of Hon. Dr. Daniel Okeke, the APC Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in 2023 election on his role in preventing avoidable blindness.

This he has done through his “Mezie Abia Annual free medical outreach and Surgery Foundation” which he has run for six(6) consecutive years, his PA Media, Oti Maduabuchi Orieji said in a statement.

Speaking at the event which coincide with World Sight Day, Dr Benedict Offor a Senior Optometrist and other Optometrists named Hon. Okeke a worthy Ambassador and friend of the Association in recognition of his contributions to Health care delivery in his constituency over the years.

It had as the Theme: “Love Your Eyes At Work” and comes up on second Thursdays of October annually.

In his response Okeke advised his constituency to utilize this year world sight day to check their Eyes for effective productivity at work and equally promised to keep on partnering with the Association for quality Eye Care Delivery mainly for the less privileged in his constituency, Orieji stated.
