Gift Orban of Nigeria scored the fastest-ever hat-trick in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Wednesday night as KAA Gent defeated Istanbul Basaksehir 4-1.
Orban hit the target in the 31st, 32nd, and 34th minutes.
Gent’s only goal in the first leg, which finished in a 1-1 tie, was also scored by the 20-year-old.
Gent advanced to the quarter-finals 5-2 on aggregate.
Orban currently has five goals in the competition, one less than competition leader Luka Jovic.
Last weekend, the youthful striker scored four goals in Gent’s 6-2 victory over Zulte Waregem.
He has now scored 12 goals in nine appearances for Gent this season in all competitions.
