Nigeria Air Plane To Arrive On Friday

The jet for the proposed Nigeria Air will arrive on Friday, ahead of the start of operations, according to Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation.

According to the Minister, a Nigeria Airplane will land in the country in two days as part of the preparations to begin operations and reveal the delivery process.

He pledged the aircraft would be unveiled in Nigerian colors, fulfilling all the administration’s commitments in the aviation sector.

He mentioned that the only unfinished piece is the aerotropolis, which is the airport city and is barely 60% complete.

According to him, the groundwork has been completed, and work on the airport city is expected to be completed by the next administration.

Sirika stated in March at an aviation stakeholder event in Abuja that Nigeria Air will begin full operations before the conclusion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

In response to a question on when Nigeria Air will start flying, the Minister stated, “Before the end of this administration, before May 29th, we will fly.”

He went on to say that the Federal Government is leaving the aviation sector in better shape than it found it, having completed more than 90 percent of the sector’s road map.

However, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has yet to grant the controversial airline an Air Operators Certificate (AOC).
