NEMA To Distribute Relief Materials To 3,000 Disaster Victims In Ekiti

The initial distribution of aid supplies by the federal government would assist about 3,000 victims of natural catastrophes in Ekiti State.

This was announced in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, by Mr. Kadiri Olarewaju, the NEMA’s chief of operations for the states of Ekiti and Ondo.

This occurred when the state government made a commitment to maintaining its current partnership with the federal agency.

The relief supplies for the disaster victims had arrived in the state, according to Olarewaju, who made the announcement while leading a team of NEMA officials to the office of the state’s deputy governor, Mrs. Monisade Afuye.

The NEMA boss who solicited more support from the state government said the food items and household materials were presented to the state government for onward distribution during the disaster.

According to him, “Out of over 3000 victims captured in Ekiti, only 1000 would get relief materials in the first phase while the remaining victims would be captured in the second phase.”
