Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the appointment of Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji as the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI, saying it again for the people of Abia State.
Ogah says the appointment is an indication of how much President Muhammadu Buhari has done to include the people of South East and Abia in particular in the running of the country’s affairs under his watch.
In a congratulatory message to the new NEITI boss on Thursday, Dr. Ogah describes Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji as a seasoned and outstanding media personality, strategist, and administrator who has through the dint of hard work rose to become the Executive Secretary of the foremost regulatory body in mineral resources sector, having served as the Director External Communications.

“I congratulate my brother, Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji who has just been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to head the NEITI. His appointment is timely and strategic especially at a time efforts have remained at top gear to ensure to harnessing and transparent use of our God-given resources to better the lives of our people.
“His appointment is particularly dear to me because having a fellow Abian in the industry is just a plus in the efforts to galvanize the numerous resources underneath the earth in our people’s interest.
“A renowned media practitioner whose fruitful professional career spanned for years, excellence has remained Dr. Orji’s landmark.
“I have no doubt in mind that he will do Abians proud and adequately protect the confidence President Muhammadu Buhari has in him. I, therefore, wish him a fruitful tenure” he said.
