NDLEA Alerts On Rising Dangerous Drug Trends In Lagos, Kano [PHOTOS]

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has sounded the alarm after recent drug busts in Lagos and Kano revealed the disturbing rise in youth abuse of hazardous substances, often disguised under alarming street names.

Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday showing the confiscated drugs, which included new psychoactive substances and other dangerously named items such as “Suck & Die,” “Rubber Solution,” “Dead Man,” and “Gelato.”

Babafemi called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to stay alert and take action against this growing trend.

He said, “Narco-trend update: Parents, stay vigilant! The latest seizures by NDLEA officers in Lagos and Kano reveal frightening names of substances, including NPS, that we all need to be aware of in our homes and communities: Suck & Die, Rubber Solution, Dead Man, Gelato.”
