My Reappointment As DG NFC, Opportunity To Move Youths Forward In Creative Economy — Maduekwe

The Managing Director of Nigeria Films Corporation, NFC, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe has said his reappointment by President Muhammadu Buhari to head the agency for another four years is an opportunity to further move youths of the country forward in the creative economy.

Dr. Maduekwe who spoke with ABN TV on Friday expressed gratitude to the President for the gesture, saying it is an endorsement for more challenging work ahead.

“Nigeria is henceforth going to be defined as the capital of the world where you have creativity. So if the country has such creative talent, which our young people have of course exhibited, be it in music, entertainment, our Nigerian youths are doing so well in those areas.

“So we must build on our strength and push that for which we are known for. Again, a certain trajectory that has taken place in about four years that I have been in the office may be why I am being asked to continue and I am determined to do exactly that. So I am challenged to move our youths forward in the creative economy” he said.
