An Australian-based medical doctor, forensic physician and the founder, Okwun Ojah Family Foundation, Dr. Barr. Okwun Ojah has said he is not embarking on philanthropic activities to advocate for the people’s votes to ascend to political office.
He said instead his passion to assist humanity is inborn and inherent, adding that he has no intention to join politics any time soon.
Featuring on ABN TV’s Okwun Ojah Foundation Hour, the lawyer and author said, “I’m a philanthropist by nature and by intuition. I don’t have any political intention in any form or shape and I will never have”.

He said true philanthropy is anchored on having no intention to receive a reward order than seeing the people happy.
Barr. Dr. Ojah however said the problem with Nigeria is poor presence of government in the people’s lives.
“There is no good road, no water, no good school, there is no light, no good wages, and that is why my philanthropy is moving around”, he noted.
Enumerating some of the philanthropic works he has carried out, he cited the drilling of boreholes in his community in Ohafia local government area of Abia where locals can have access to potable water, having suffered over lack of water.
He said as the last count, about nine or ten of such boreholes have been constructed around communities in Ohafia. According to him, lack of access to good water can lead to the multiplicity of diseases.
He also highlighted that his philanthropy had captured power supply, road project, scholarship awards to support the education of indigenous pupils, cash disbursements, sponsorship of football tournaments to enhance peaceful co-existence in communities around Ohafia and more.
