“When you have a mother of the family who is peaceful and has the fear of God, as Governor, you can go on to achieve great goals together without worrying about the home because it is in the hands of a good woman.

“Her care for widows and many other humanitarian gestures to the needy are part of the reasons we will always celebrate motherhood, maternal bonds, and mothers in Abia and all over the world.

“I am therefore grateful to Abia mothers for living up to their roles as wonderful wives and parents who have helped to bring up their children in God’s way. That is why we celebrate Abia as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria today, and I urge all mothers to continue to be role models for the younger ones.

“Happy Mothering Sunday”, the Speaker concluded.
