Under the 2025 budget, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has suggested allocating N636,076,022,121 for agricultural-related activities.
Out of this total allocation, approximately half—N315,480,692,201—is earmarked for the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
Key budget highlights include: N75 million for cleaning and fumigation of the Ministry’s headquarters
N15.5 million for food expenses
N58,670,938 for travels and transport
N15 million for honorarium and sitting allowances
Additionally, N190.8 million has been allocated to a new initiative titled ‘Promotion of Climate Smart Food Production for Youth Empowerment’.
