Michael Owen, a former England striker, praised Mykhailo Mudryk after the Ukrainian made his Chelsea debut against Liverpool on Saturday.
Mudryk was introduced in the 55th minute to assist Graham Potter’s team in its attempt to break the scoreless draw at Anfield.
With some strong runs and defender-taking maneuvers, the former Shakhtar Donetsk attacker demonstrated a lot of promise. He also lost a chance as he put the ball into the side net.
Having praised the 22-year-outstanding old’s start to his Chelsea career, Owen expressed his excitement about it.
The former striker for Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Newcastle United responded, “Yes, He gave a bit of energy and attacking flair and directness to the game for Chelsea,” when asked if he was impressed by the Ukrainian’s performance. You’ll probably feel like you can accomplish anything if you get going in this manner, in my opinion.
“Two quick great touches there. He was unbelievable. I know he is quick…if I’m a Chelsea fan I’ll be excited. He’s absolutely brilliant. I think he could be anything. Really really exciting.”
