As part of its corporate social responsibility, popular online medium, ABN TV and Radio has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) equipment to journalists in Abia State even as they carry on with their duties this lockdown period.
Handing over the equipment comprising hand sanitizers and gloves, the Director ABN, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali said journalists need all the support they can muster now in ensuring their safety even as they go about informing people on the deadly COVID-19.
He extolled their doggedness and patriotism in remaining committed to carrying out their assignments.
Receiving the PPEs, the Abia state chapter chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Mr. John Emejo expressed gratitude with the kind gesture.
He said this is the kind of support the media practitioners need at this time to help them offer their best, calling on other individuals and organisations to emulate ABN.
