By Ifeanyi Okali

Masters Energy Group, a conglomerate founded in 2005 by renowned businessman and philanthropist Dr. Uchechukwu Samson Ogah, CON, is celebrating 18 years of significant business operations and economic contributions in Nigeria. With its headquarters in Lagos, the Group has expanded its footprint across critical sectors of the economy, including oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, renewable energy, and consumer goods.

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, commissioned three major projects developed by Dr. Uche Ogah in Onu Aku, Uturu, Isiukwuato Local Government Area. The projects – Masters 105.9 FM, The Wilsons Hotels and Resorts, and Wilson and Paulina Memorial Hospital – are part of Dr. Ogah’s commitment to community development and infrastructure growth. The commissioning was also a highlight of the final rites and celebration of the life of the late Ezinne Paulina Ogbonne Ogah, JP, the mother of Dr. Ogah.

The company, which began with a focus on oil and gas, now operates over 26 subsidiaries, reflecting its diversification into finance, insurance, and renewable energy to align with global climate change initiatives. At the heart of its operations is the Masters Energy Oil & Gas arm, which ensures the distribution of essential fuel and LPG products, strengthening Nigeria’s energy security.
