If Mason Mount fails to agree to a new contract at the end of the season, the Chelsea board will look to sell him this summer.
Mount will enter the final year of his Chelsea contract in the summer.
The 24-year-old has yet to sign a new contract with the west London club.
Mount is reportedly unwilling to accept Chelsea’s current offer because the Blues want to tie him down to a seven-year contract.
Chelsea is currently on the verge of losing the England international on a free transfer next year, but according to The Athletic, the club’s executives ‘will not countenance’ the player leaving the Premier League giants for nothing.
Instead, if his contract situation with the Stamford Bridge club is not resolved, Chelsea will be open to offers for Mount.
According to the report, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all interested in signing Mount.
