Chief Alex Ikwechegh has thanked and appreciated God for saving the lives of those in his campaign team who were involved in a ghastly motor accident on their way to Abuja.
The Abia born philanthropist popularly known as “Onyeocha na Aba” and House of Representatives hopeful for Aba North and South Federal Constituency confirmed that the accident happened on Wednesday evening at Ika Ikeje, along Kogi – Abuja Road.
According to eye witnesses, the 2021 Landcruiser Jeep lost control and somersaulted over 7 times, causing the vehicle a damage beyond repair, but no fatality.
Ikwechegh, the APGA aspirant in the forthcoming election, said he cannot thank God enough for this miracle. “This is a miracle, I cannot thank God enough for it. Though, I was not in the car, but it is a huge miracle that my people in it came out alive. Yes, the vehicle is damaged, but nothing can be equated to life.”
Reacting to the news, thousands of Aba residents have turned up in their numbers through phone calls, WhatsApp messages, tweets and facebook messages with the hashtag #OnyeOchaNaAbaAManOfGrace to pray and sympathize with him over the sad incident.
In one of the facebook comments by Mrs Ugoma, she wrote “Onyeocha na Aba, you have been a very good man to me and members of my family through the assistance you have always given to us the downtrodden here in Aba, I know that you don’t know me on personal grounds but I have benefited so much from your benevolence. Sir, no weapon formed against you shall prosper and any tongue that will rise against you shall be condemned, the Lord that keepeth Isreal shall continue to keep you for us in Jesus Christ name. Amen.”
