Mao Ohuabunwa Demonstrating Ignorance By Accusing Me Of Not Providing Security — Sen. Kalu [VIDEO]

Senator representing Abia North senatorial district, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has again said he has no regret sitting the Lokpanta cattle market where it is located while he was governor.

Some political actors, including a former Senator of the district, Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa have alleged that the cattle market breeds insecurity, accusing the incumbent Senator Kalu of not tackling the menace.

Senator Kalu in a viral video obtained by ABN TV accused Ohuabunwa of exhibiting ignorance of the working of a Senator, saying he (Kalu) is not the executive governor of the state and does not control the security, and cannot be accused of failing to provide security.

“I am the Senator representing Abia North and not the Security officer of the state or the senatorial zone. My duty as a senator ranges from making legislation that impacts my people to providing sustainable projects in my zone and even beyond. The people I represent are very satisfied with what I have done in Abia North, more so it’s unprecedented.

“When Mao Ohuabunwa accuses me of not providing security in Abia North, it speaks volume of how ignorant he is about different tiers of government. I urge my brother Mao to show the people one single project he facilitated during his twelve years in the National Assembly rather than raising sentiments to spite the good people of Abia North,” he said in a separate release.

He said as a representative of the people, he will continue to make laws that will affect them and bring developmental projects in form of road projects, schools rehabilitation, provision of educational materials, water projects, and more.

He insists that as the number four person in the Senate, he has done well in contributing to what happens in the Red Chamber as well as the quality of Bills and motions he has sponsored and moved.

The Abia former governor challenged Ohuabunwa to tell the people of the Senate what he accomplished with his twelve years in the Senate.
