Fear and alarm among residents as a two-story building collapsed in the Isale Eko area of Lagos State, ABN TV reports.
Many people are reportedly trapped in the structure, which is alleged to have been defective.
The integrity of the building is said to have been compromised following a fire in parts of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.
The Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed the incident, said the fire seriously impacted 14 other buildings.
In April, four buildings collapsed due to the intensity of the fire that engulfed part of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.
He said emergency responders at the scene of the event included NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police, and fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
