Man Kills Sibling While Testing Fortification Charm In Kwara

One Abubakar Abubakar has shot dead his 12-year-old younger brother, Yusuf Abubakar, in Kwara State.

The incident happened on Sunday in Dutse Dogo, Kaiama council of the state, while the brothers were allegedly testing the efficacy of a supposed gunshot protective charm they newly acquired.

The siblings’ father, Abubakar Abubakar, is a known hunter in the community.

Spokesperson of the state police command Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed the incident.

Said Okasanmi: “This incident happened after fortifying themselves with the protective charm, the elder son brought his father’s Dane gun and shot his younger sibling, the charm failed and the 12-year-old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.

“The culprit escaped into the bushes immediately the act was committed.
