A man identified as Ojo Babatunde from Omuo-Ekiti, in Ekiti State, South West Nigeria has been arrested by Police for impregnating his 15-year-old step-daughter.
A statement issued by the State’s Police Command Spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu, Wednesday, in Ado-Ekiti, confirmed that Babatunde was arrested by the Juvenile Welfare Centre, JWC, of the state CID.
According to the statement, the culprit had carnal knowledge of the victim (name withheld) which led to a four-month pregnancy.

The accused, who is also the stepfather of the victim, had unlawful carnal Knowledge of her severally before and after she became pregnant.
“According to her, the stepfather used to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her at home when her Mother is away and oftentimes lures her into the farm and defiles her after which he will threaten her never to tell anyone or face the consequence.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime and claimed it was the handwork of the devil.”
