Chinwendu Samuel Mark, a 26-year-old man, has died of electrocution while reportedly trying to illegally reconnect electricity disconnected by operatives of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Plc in Umuahia, Abia State, ABN TV reports.
Chinwendu Mark, popularly known as Oku Na Wire Mark died on Saturday at Warri Street in Umuahia while performing the task.
ABN TV gathered that the victim is not an official of EEDC and is likely not qualified to perform the task.
A sympathizer was heard shouting “he has been doing this thing before na, what happened”.
ABN TV learnt that the 26-year-old was rescued from the pole where the impact of the electrocution suspended him and rushed to the FMC Umuahia and later Madonna where he was pronounced dead.
Oku Na Wire Mark, a skit maker was said to have gone for the assignment with an unidentified official of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company.
He produces comedy skits on TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
