“Madam Rest”, Hon. Ogah Begs Onyejeocha During His Over N400m Mega Constituency Empowerment (Video)

Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia State, Hon. Amobi Ogah has begged his predecessor, the overwhelmed Minister of State for Labour, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha to give herself some rest and heal from injuries of the fatal defeat in the 2023 National Assembly election.

The soft-spoken businessman who has made remarkable achievements in the oil and gas sector had thwarted the dream of Onyejeocha to get 20 years at the House of Representatives as representative of the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency.

She spent 16 years in the House, which some constituents say left them with no impact.

Onyejeocha since she was defeated has reportedly taken Ogah to court three times, challenging his election victory and refusing to move on.

But determined not to be distracted and to reverse the years of poor representation, Hon. Ogah had done series of empowerment for his constituents since assumption of office.

To mark his one year in office last week, he rolled out what has been described as mother of all empowerments, which saw the highly satisfied constituents benefit from distribution of items worth over N400 million.

The items distributed include cars, mini-buses, tricycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, and bags of fertilizers.

During the event, Ogah expressed gratitude to his constituents and emphasized the importance of unity, regardless of party affiliations.

While appealing to the Minister to accept defeat, Ogah emphasized the collective voice of the people is the bastion of democracy.

He also vowed to prioritize his constituents’ welfare, having previously distributed 10,700 palm seedlings and cash gifts to support economic growth.
