The Pro-Chancellor of Lux Mundi University, Prof Gabriel Okenwa has described education as the greatest asset towards human capital development.
He stated this during the unveiling and presentation of principal officers, Deans, and Professors of the university on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the university’s main auditorium, new Ndagbo city, Isiama Afaraukwu, Ibeku Umuahia Abia State.
While describing the institution as the first university in Umuahia the state capital he stated that the university is a great investment to the people of South East.
According to Okenwa, a former bank executive, students of the institution after three years of study can further their education at Apollos University, Florida, USA.
He also acknowledged the tremendous support the state governor, Dr. Alex Otti has offered the institution.
He urged admission seekers to choose the institution as the academic session is to kick start for 2024/2025 academic session.
Courses accredited in the university include; Law, Business Administration and entrepreneurship, Accountancy/ Banking and Finance, English, Economics as well as Political Science stressing that the fees are affordable despite the fact it is a private university.
While receiving the provisional license of the institution, the Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia Diocese, Most Rev Chibuzo Opoko said honesty and Integrity pay adding that the university has come to be.
He said Christ is the Light and the university will see light and urged all the Ministers to queue into the success of the institution.
