The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency of Abia State, Hon. Obi Aguocha has defeated the former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji at the Appeal Court.
Orji who was candidate of the People’s Democratic Party had challenged the victory of Aguocha at the February 25 National Assembly election in which the INEC declared Labour Party’s Aguocha the winner.
The Court of Appeal affirmed Aguocha’s victory, bringing to an end the litigations arising from the poll.
In his response during a chat with ABN TV, the lawmaker said the court has finally vindicated him, saying he bears no grudges against anyone.
He noted that the four uninterrupted years as a member of the House of Representatives will afford him the opportunity to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.
