Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, has accused the authorities of voting suppression.

Rhodes-Vivour stated this after voting in his polling unit on Saturday.

“There is voter suppression,” he stated. Original Lagosians are accepting and exposing but the APC (All Progressives Congress) gets its strength from divisiveness and violence.

“By God’s grace, the people will triumph, and this administration that gains legitimacy via coercion will be a thing of the past.”

The APC’s candidate in the race is incumbent Governor Sanwo-Olu.

He bemoaned the fact that employees from the Independent National Electoral Commission were refusing to cooperate in Labour Party strongholds.

“I am not congratulating someone that got his mandate from intimidation and suppression, if it happens, I will go to court.”
“INEC must transmit votes electronically and we are getting reports where the BVAS has already been preloaded. Whatever intimidation they do, the will of the people will prevail. This is a battle for the people of Lagos,” he said.
