Loser Being Desperate To Occupy Sen. Kalu’s Seat From Back, Futile Effort — Chief Bourdex Blasts Ohuabunwa

A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and its candidate in the 2019 senatorial election for Abia North, Chief David Onuoha-Bourdex, has advised the Senate to ignore the scheming by some individuals to get the seat occupied by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, declared vacant

Onuoha-Bourdex, who was APGA’s candidate in the election, fingered the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Mao Ohuabunwa as the arrowhead of the move, but urged the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, not to heed to such demand.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Amara Umunna, made available to New Telegraph, the APGA chieftain said Ohuabunwa’s desperation to return to the Senate is a scheme to prepare for his wild dream of contesting the Abia State governorship in 2023.

His words: “It has become an open secret that Senator Mao Ohuabunwa is behind the heedless calls for Abia North’s seat in the 9th Senate occupied by the All Progressives Congress (APC) majority whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, to be declared vacant.

“In his quest for another opportunity to return to the Red Chamber, Ohuabunwa and his hired hands have resorted to verbal attacks on the billionaire businessman and member of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief (Dr.) Onuoha-Bourdex, whom he accused of lacking political discipline.

“While we urge the good people of Abia North and the Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, to ignore the distractions, we are constrained to ask the failed senator to first of all discharge the burden of explaining to the good people of Abia North Senatorial District what he achieved for them in the past 12 years of his sojourn in the National Assembly.

“Perhaps the clamour for a new opening in the Senate is his own way of demonstrating political discipline, but the people of Abia North know that the blind desperation to return to the Senate is a scheme to prepare for his wild dream of contesting the Abia State governorship in 2023.

“Fortunately, the recent escapade of rousing a faceless Abia North-based agricultural multipurpose cooperative society to hand out a 21-day ultimatum to the leadership of the 9th Senate to declare the Senate seat occupied by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu vacant or face mass action exposed the folly of his pursuit.

“While we wonder why the failed senator did not sponsor his audio farmers’ multipurpose cooperative society to speak out when the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) was dispensing agro-related credit, it is left for the young men that were quickly assembled to ask their principal why he didn’t empower them but chose to warm his butt on the Senate seat.

“Now that he is itching to return to the Senate for another sleeping session, the former senator has woken up through an audio agricultural cooperative society to regret that ‘since Kalu was imprisoned, Abia North has been totally excluded from federal largesse’ having nobody to speak for it.

“With the recent reports of some constituency projects attracted by the Senate Whip in the 9th Senate, the people of Abia North Senatorial District are demanding that he shows us what Abia North has benefited from Ohuabunwa’s presence in the National Assembly for 12 years, eight in the lower house and four in the Senate that we are missing now.”

Onuoha-Bourdex noted that should trend in Abia North and the media instead of the empty calls for the Senate leadership to declare Kalu’s seat vacant, when the matter is subject to judicial elucidation is:
“#WhatDidMaoBringHomeThatWeAreMissing.”
