Leadership Mantle Of This State To Soon Fall On Us, Again Abia APC Says

The opposition All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State has again said the leadership of the state will soon fall on its shoulder.

Recall that penultimate to the 2015 and 2019 elections, the party had vowed to dislodge the PDP which had held sway in the state since return of democracy in 1999, ABN TV reports.

PDP has however been in recent times criticized for poor performance especially in the area of infrastructure as well as alleged financial misappropriation of funds including the Paris Club Refunds totalling about N22bn which the state benefitted from.

But in a chat with ABN TV, chairman of the Caretaker Committee of APC in the state, Chief Donatus Nwankpa said the party is gearing up and re-strategizing for the upcoming congress of the party and will as getting ready to sack the PDP in the state.

He said the number of decampees the party is receiving from other parties, including the PDP is a testament that it is making headway towards actualising this dream.
