Amid biting economic hardships, a former lawmaker, Ben Murray-Bruce, has suggested to the incoming minister of health and the federal government to launch a free condom distribution initiative.

Murray-Bruce said the suggestion is in light of the deepening economic challenges facing Nigerians, which have gravely impacted the middle class and exacerbated poverty levels.

In a post on his social media platform on Monday, the former lawmaker believes that ensuring accessibility to contraceptives is a crucial step in mitigating a potential population explosion.
