Late APC Chairman, Enyi Harbor Bags Posthumous Award At Abia Quiz Competition For Contributions In Education Sector (Photos, Video)

The late Executive Director of Mayfair Academy Umuahia and former Chairman of APC in Abia State, Mazi Enyi Harbor has been honoured posthumously at the just concluded Abia Quiz competition 2022.

Mayfair Academy Umuahia humbled Ovom Girls’ High School Aba and Holy Brilliant Academy, Alayi – Bende to emerge the winner of 2021 edition of the quiz competition sponsored by the founder Ray Nkemdirim Foundation, Chief Raymond Nkemdirim.

Dr. Harbor’s posthumous honour is in recognition of his contributions to the development of the education sector in Abia and Nigeria at large and the efforts he made in ensuring the success of the first edition of the annual quiz completion as well as lives he impacted.

His wife, Mrs. Harbor who received the award expressed gratitude to Ray Nkemdirim Foundation for contributing in keeping the dreams of her late husband alive.

She also thanked the foundation for acknowledging the modest effort of the late politician in serving his state selflessly.

Also speaking, his son Dr Praise Chijioke Hatbor while thanking Chief Ray Nkemdirim described him as a very good friend to his late father.

“Today is the proudest day in my life and life of my family because in 2005, my father left everything he was doing in Abuja, sold properties and came down to Umuahia to help build up the educational sector in this state with the school started by his mother, the proprietress of Mayfair Academy, Mrs. Comfort Harbour.

“There is no greater joy and honour than to have him celebrated at the end of his life,” he said.

The late Harbor’s son also commended Mayfair Academy for outstanding academic performance which manifests in JAMB and WAEC results of its students.
