The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party has dissolved the Abia State Working Committee and appointed a new Caretaker/State Working Committee of the Party in Abia State.
This was contained in a letter made available to ABN TV by the Labour Party, Monday 14 October.
According to the letter, which was addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) in Abuja and signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of the Party, Bar Julius Abure and Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim respectively.

The letter reads: “In exercise of the Power bestowed upon by the Labour Party constitution, Article 13.3.B.vi, to receive periodic reports from and to dissolve, and reconstitute State Executive Council/ State Working Committee where necessary pending the next State Congress.
“The National Working Committee hereby dissolves and appointment a Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Party in the State.
“The following Persons are hereby appointed to pilot the affairs of the State for a period of three months effective immediately”.
1. Dr Prince G.O. Ndubueze State Chairman.
2. Dr John Igbojionu State Secretary.
3. Mr Asonye Chukwunyere Member.
4. Hon Mes Steff Oby Jerry. Member.
6. Elder Uche Achiugo. Member.
7. Chief Nwachukwu Eze Member.
8. Hon Udo Ihediwa. Member.
9. Hon Henry Ohuabunwa. Member.
10. Rev Ntachiobi Chukwud. Member.
11. Apostle Innocent Adele. Member.
12. Hon Mrs Chinwendu Sylvia Chukwenyeremaka. Member.
13. Hon Chief Amadi D. O. Member.
14. Hon Ezekiel Emanuel. Member.
