The Labour Party on Sunday congratulated the Super Falcons and the entire Nigerian populace on the team’s historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title, describing the win as a beacon of hope in challenging times.

The Interim National Chairman, Senator Nenadi Usman disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja.

Usman said the victory, secured on Moroccan soil against the host nation, was a remarkable feat that showcased the resilience and fighting spirit of Nigerians both at home and abroad.

She noted that at a time when the nation is grappling with economic hardship and widespread hopelessness, the triumph of the Super Falcons offers a much-needed moment of inspiration and unity.

“At a time when the nation is weighed down by hardship, hopelessness, and a deluge of disheartening headlines, this uplifting victory brings a much-needed ray of hope and inspiration to our people,” she said.
