Kwankwaso Will Be Another Buhari, El-Rufai’s Son Predicts

Bashir, one of the sons of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, has said the presidential candidate of New Nigerian People Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, would be the “next President Muhammadu Buhari”.

Kwankwaso came fourth in the February 25 presidential election won by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second while Peter Obi of Labour Party was third.

Kwankwaso won the election in Kano alone, where polled a total of 997,279 votes, which made some of his critics refer to him as ‘President of Kano’.

In his reaction on Twitter, Bashir stated: “Those laughing at Kwankwaso that he is only the President of Kano State will not be laughing so much in a few years. He is the next Buhari, potentially.”
