High Chief Ken Ifekudu has debunked media publication that he is eyeing the governorship seat of Anambra State, saying the report is false.
In a release on Friday, be said he has not at any time discussed plans to vie for the number one seat in Anambra with friends and associates, urging that the media report should be ignored.
He said, “The attention of High Chief Ken Ifekudu OFR has been drawn to viral news on social media about being goaded by some friends to contest for Anambra 2025 governorship election.
“This is to let the general public know that at no time did High Chief Ken Ifekudu had any discussion whatsoever with any friend, associate or colleague about any imaginary governorship ambition.
“To set the record straight, Chief Ken Ifekudu has no intention to vie for any political position in Anambra. He has expressed this on various fora that he does not have interest in any political appointment or contest. Any imaginary Governorship ambition is a figment of the imagination of the writer
“High Chief Ken Ifekudu is a renowned philanthropist and businessman who has dedicated his efforts to improving the lives of the people in Anambra state and beyond. None of these projects is politically motivated. He remains committed to his various ongoing projects and initiatives and has no interest in pursuing a political career.
“Therefore, any claims or rumors suggesting otherwise should be disregarded. High Chief Ken Ifekudu appreciates the support and concern of his well-wishers and reiterates that such ambition does not exist.
“High Chief Ken Ifekudu would also like to urge the media to adhere to professional ethics and verify information before publishing any stories that could potentially harm an individual’s reputation.”
