The APGA 2019 Candidate, Umuahia East State Constituency of Abia State, Hon Tony Onyenweaku has resigned his membership of the party.
In a letter dated 15/5/2020, addressed to the Ndume Ward Chairman, Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State, Hon. Onyenweaku said the resignation is in good faith.
He also expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity of using its platform to contest for previous elections in the state.

“I write to inform you that effective from today the 15th of May 2020, I have resigned my membership of APGA. This decision was taken in good fate.
“I thank the APGA family for granting me the opportunity of using their platform to contest the past election to represent the good people of Umuahia East State constituency in the Abia State house of assembly.
“Thank you and God bless” he said.
No reason was however given for this resignation as well as his next political move.
