Jubilation As Don Lulu Floods Abia Community With Food Palliatives (Photos)

It was a day of excitement in Umuawa Alaocha community in Umuahia North, Abia State as a United Nations (UN) Mayor of Peace and philanthropist, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu doled out food palliatives to natives.

Our correspondent gathered that Don Lulu, a native of the community had rolled out the exercise to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic in the area.

The philanthropic gesture was done with the active support of family and friends who contributed financially and other means.

Those who joined hands in the exercise include Danny Ntuk of Deetucks Nig. Limited, Okoduwa Prince Akpojertor, Mr. Emeka Ogwumike, Mrs. Obiora Linda Olejuru, and Mr. Olise Michael Ogene.

Others are Mr. Charles Mordi, Mr. Ali Mardi and Justin GF

The food palliatives which include over 500 bags of 10kg rice and others was presented by the National Coordinator of Don Lulu Foundation, Professor Awa Madu.

Receiving the items, HRH, Eze Nnodimele Nwakanma, who was joined by HRH Eze Iheanyi Nwokenna and the President General of Umuawa Alaocha, High Chief Chukwuma Abraham described the donor, Mr. Igbokwe as a worthy and caring son.

He expressed gratitude for his unrelenting kindness to the community.

The items are to be distributed to various families in the community.

Don Lulu urged everyone to continue to maintain a good level of hygiene in order to fight off the coronavirus pandemic.
