Real Madrid legend, Jose María Gutierrez Hernandez, popularly known as Guti, has urged Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi not to make a return to Barcelona this summer.
Guti said it would be a big challenge for Messi at Barcelona, adding that the Catalan club will not win the UEFA Champions League.
Messi’s club future at PSG remains in the balance as he enters the final months of his contract at Parisians.
The Argentine is currently serving a two weeks suspension for his authorized travel to Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to a Spanish media house, Guti said (via Barca Universal): “If I were Messi, I would not go back to Barcelona.
“He already achieved everything there. It’s too big of a challenge at this moment. Now, with or without him, Barça won’t win the Champions League.”
