As the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu resumes today, Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Hon. Obi Aguocha, member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, has reaffirmed his unwavering support and spiritual optimism regarding the case.
In a heartfelt message shared earlier with ABN TV, Hon. Aguocha likened his legal and political support for Kanu to the biblical Apostle Paul, declaring that he has “fought the good fight” and “kept the faith” on behalf of his constituent.
“The legal race will be finished today. It is now over to you, God,” he stated.
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

The lawmaker further expressed strong belief in a favorable outcome, saying: “MNK will soon be free… Trust me, God will do it. It will surely end in praise.”
Hon. Aguocha is among the ten individuals approved by the court to attend today’s proceedings, following Justice James Omotosho’s continued restriction on courtroom access, as earlier reported by ABN TV.
The trial of the IPOB leader continues to draw intense national and international attention, with today’s hearing expected to focus on the no-case submission filed by the defense.
